2

Digitize & Design

We 3D scan or manually measure the part and create a precise CAD model.

3

Material Selection

ABS for under-hood heat, ASA for UV exposure, Nylon for mechanical stress.

4

Print & Fit

Parts printed, test-fit verified, and finished to match the original.

Materials & Specs

Automotive-Grade Materials for Real-World Conditions

ABS

Heat-resistant up to 100C. The go-to material for under-hood components, engine bay brackets, and parts exposed to high temperatures.

ASA

UV-stable for exterior applications. Won't yellow, crack, or degrade from sun exposure -- ideal for exterior trim and bezels.

Nylon

High mechanical strength and wear resistance. Perfect for clips, hinges, gears, and any part under continuous mechanical stress.

PETG

Versatile general-use material with good impact resistance. Great for interior trim, dashboard components, and non-heat-critical parts.

Case Study

1967 Camaro Dashboard Vent Bezels

Challenge

A Lake Norman classic car enthusiast restoring a 1967 Camaro needed dashboard vent bezels -- parts that run $400+ when found at swap meets, and the original was cracked and incomplete.

Solution

CLT 3D Printing reverse-engineered the bezel from the damaged original, created a precise CAD model, and printed the parts in ASA for heat and UV resistance. Surface finishing matched the original texture.

Result

Four bezels delivered for $120 total -- a fraction of the swap meet price. Fit was indistinguishable from the original factory part. The owner has since ordered additional trim pieces for the same restoration.
